The Journey of the Seed

The gardening has officially begun!  I love this time of the year because it is when I begin to sow seeds.  I have planted potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower, lettuce and spinach, many varieties of herbs, tomatoes and peppers, beets, pumpkins and many more! (All with the help of my boys)

Don’t get me wrong, I love the harvest too, but honestly it is the journey in between that is my favorite.

As the seeds sprout and begin to grow into what they were made for the journey can be long, hard, and tough at times.  They must be able to withstand the elements – the sun, the wind, the rain, the hail, the rabbits and bugs.  They must be resilient if they are going to make it to harvest, the very thing they were created for.

The journey of the seed is not that different from our own.

As we grow and mature into the very thing that we were made for we must be resilient, hands clinched around our faith, confidently looking to the Sower to give us what we need.  There will be sunny days full of growth and there will be stormy days we must withstand.  But if we look to the Sower to care for us through the heat and the storms, we will have every opportunity needed to make it to our destiny.

With love,

This same blog is a blog I wanted to write long ago but I didn’t know how to properly formulate it but this is a beautiful blog, it’s nice to see it written from someone else’s perspective.
    Thank you for this.
