Seeing Through a Different Set of Eyes
Good morning!
Happy Thankful Thursday! I know what you are probably thinking… thankful, right now, really??
Yes, really.
I know it sounds cliché, but one of the best things we can do right now amidst the craziness we are all experiencing is to be thankful. We can stop the craziness going on inside of us if we will pause and look around…and be thankful for what we do have, right here in this moment.
- I am thankful the sun came up (and came out) this morning. It means we have another day of opportunity!
- I am thankful my kiddos are home! Yes, life and my schedule have looked totally different, but what a blessing to have the time to spend with them.
- I am thankful we have online communities to be able to stay in contact and stay somewhat social.
- I am thankful for canned goods, meat in the freezer, and our “old-school” way of living.
- I am thankful that every day is one day closer to summer!
It is during times of stress and anxiety that it is most important to remain thankful. When we have a thankful heart, we see through a different set of eyes; eyes that reflect Jesus.
You are my God, and I will give you thanks;
You are my God, and I will exalt you.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
His love endures forever.
Psalm 118:28-29 (NIV)
With love,
Tana
