Acts of Kindness – Let’s Start a Movement!

For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ Matthew 25:35-36

Good morning!

While I was decorating the mantel in my living room the other day, I was thinking about how much I love fall and all that it brings.  I love the smells of fall; the spices and the cool, crisp fresh air.  I love the pumpkins and the leaves and all the colors that come with fall.  I love chai lattes and pumpkin spice bread.

But most of all, I love that it is a specific time of the year where we practice thanksgiving.  I love that as a society, we are reminded to be thankful for all we have.

As I continued decorating, and thinking about all things fall, I had an idea!

It is great to be thankful for all that we have, for all the blessings the Father has poured out so graciously.  To be thankful for our families, our friends, our homes, the food on our table, and much more.  But how can we take it one step further and create thankfulness in others?

How can we create opportunity for others to give thanks?

So, I would like to propose that each one of us find unique ways this month to be the reason that someone has to give thanks.

Let’s do intentional acts of kindness.

I will be sharing some ideas and posting our acts of kindness along the way but would LOVE to hear your ideas as well!  You can tag me on social media, at either Facebook at The Rustic Cup or Instagram at @tanaljohnston or reply to this blog post or send me an email through the contact us page at jwdev-trc.flywheelstaging.com!

Blessings!
