Mostly what God does is love you…
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
We all have a perception of what we think love is. Are we willing to let go of what we “think” love is and let the Father show us what love truly is?
It is really easy to get caught up in all the “doing” during Christmas. But Jesus offers us to come to him and find rest. It is more about “being” and less about “doing”.
It is so easy for a child to believe in the joy of Christmas! What would it be like if we had that child-like excitement about the true gift of Christmas? About Jesus?
Christmas is a time of celebrating traditions! And the greatest tradition to celebrate is the birth of our Savior. It’s a time to remember and to teach our children that God sent his only son to be the Savior of the World!
It doesn’t matter how far we have run, where we have been or what we have done, we are only one decision away from turning around to come home.
The most amazing part of the true gift of Christmas is that it doesn’t matter what walk of life we come from, we can ALL receive Jesus, who is the good and perfect gift.
